Sally Yeh Appears on Danny Chan Tribute Album

Canadian recording artist Sally Yeh has contributed her vocal talents in two tracks on a newly released Danny Chan tribute album of covers of the late singer’s songs. Hong Kong’s Danny Chan, born 60 years ago, had undoubtedly one of the most beautiful male vocals in pop music history. He died an untimely, heartbreaking death at the age of 35 in 1993 after being in a coma for 17 months. In piece of trivia, Danny performed an English language duet with Crystal Gale in 1984’s “Tell Me What I Can Do”. The new tribute album, released through Universal Music, contains contributions from Cantopop legends like Alan Tam, Priscilla Chan, Shirley Kwan, and others with the most popular tracks from contemporaries Eason Chan and Gigi Leung. The album’s two final offerings are voiced by the incomparable Sally Yeh. Sally, of course, is also known for starring in John Woo’s classic feature film The Killer (1989).
